If you’re anything like most moms, we’re too often behind the camera, capturing each moment and rarely in front of it. It makes sense, moms are usually the ones snapping photos of their babies with relatives or experiencing new things. And while we can ask our significant others to try to take more photos, it’s just not necessarily their instinct to do so.

That’s why you need a Mama and Me session!

These photos- the moments between a mama and her littles- are so very important. When you look back on your childrens’ younger years, you won’t regret all the photos of them and Dad that you took, but you will wish you had just a few of you. Kissing their chubby cheeks, squeezing their still baby bellies, all these moments can be captured with a Mama and Me session.

These sessions are especially fun to do within or around your baby’s first year- after the newborn pictures when you’ve started to feel more like yourself. Not only will you treasure these photos, but your children will, as well. I always think back to the scene from the movie “The Family Stone” when Sarah Jessica Parker’s character gifts her boyfriend’s family with framed photos of their mom when she was pregnant and the impact of that gift to them. I think about that all the time when photographing moms and babies- how much those photos will mean to your children.
