Newborn Photoshoots | 3-14 days
Newborn photoshoots, lets talk about timing! Ideally, you should schedule your session with your photographer 2-3 months before baby arrives. This ensures you can secure a spot with your favorite studio as photographers are often booked weeks if not months in advance. Newborns are best photographed before they are two weeks old. Of course every baby is different but most are still super sleepy, easy to curl up in those sweet poses, love to be swaddled and although their skin may be flakey, it’s usually too early for baby acne. If a baby arrives several weeks before their due date we can usually still photograph a baby up to 21 days with great success!
Siblings
Sometimes siblings can’t leave their newest family memeber alone and love to be photographed with them and sometimes they are not 100% sure and need a little time to warm up to be photographed with them. 
Yawns
Who doesn’t think a yawning baby is absolutely adorable?
Props
We are not a “prop heavy” kind of studio but we dohave several little pieces that accentuate any session in a classic and timeless way 🙂 
Personal Items
While I do provide everything needed for a newborn photoshoot, clients are always welcome to bring in personal items if they ahve something special they would like to.
Awake
To get those sweet curled up images baby must be sleeping. I send you a detailed Prep Guide so you can get your baby photoshoot ready! However, if at some point baby is awake and calm, I always try to capture that too.
I love detail shots!
Oh my goodness, how could you not? I also love to know what you love! I’ll send you a questionnaire before your session so that you can choose your favorite colors and prop preference. I also ask if you would like detail shots included in your session.
