Newborn photoshoot timing for the best possible gallery with lots of beautiful images!

What do expecting parents ask me most?  When they should book their newborn photoshoot.  The answer to that is pretty simple.  As soon as you select your favorite photographer, secure your spot with them!  2-3 months before your due date is usually just about perfect timing.

Like most boutique photographers that specialize in safety and posing, I have a very limited number of spaces for newborn sessions.  Usually 4 per month, as a result, those spaces fill up fast!    Your baby should be younger than two weeks old at the time of their session.  During this time, baby is still very sleepy, easily curls up and transition into those sweet little poses like you see in my portfolio!  Also, baby skin is often at it’s best before two weeks.  In addition, there are usually a few bouts of cluster feeding during those early days.  

My newborn photo shoot is secured but what if my baby doesn’t arrive on their due date?

This is usually the follow up question.    What if my baby arrives weeks early or late, will I still have spot for a newborn photo shoot if they don’t arrive on their due date?  Of course, babies come when they come!  Securing your space with Aimee Nelson Photography in advance means that whenever you baby arrives, early or late, you will be guaranteed a spot!  If your little one arrives super early we will have naturally have a longer window to get them on the schedule.  However, if you baby is super late, your window is a bit shorter and I will want them to come in for their session earlier when possible.
