I’m one lucky photographer, just look at that sweet smile! It’s funny, we always strive to have newborns sleep peacefully through their sessions. We send a Prep Guide and make sure mom and dad realize the importance of following it closely. And if all goes well, baby never even takes a peek at me! But sometimes, babies just don’t sleep. Usually that can be a real challenge but not with this guy! Scroll all the way down to see this sweet little guy’s incredible eye contact! This is definitely not typical, but when it happens it’s magic!
What to wear for Family shots
One question I always get is “what should we wear?” My answer is always the same! WHITE! Why? Well for starters, it’s timeless. White will forever be in style! When you look at your images 20, 30, 50 years from now you will never think to yourself, “what were we wearing???”! Another thing, most complexions look great in white! Also, almost all men have something white in their closets. Why is that helpful? No shopping for you! And what about you? well I have you covered there! We have a nice selection of dresses in our client closet that are perfect for moms. And guess what, the largest part of my client closet is made of white dresses!
What matters most about all of this, your eyes go right to the faces in these portraits. And that’s not all, all of these images are beautiful together! Perfect coordination for an album or wall gallery. It’s really the perfect choice all around! Wondering where this beautiful white dress is from? And look at this: he made so many adorable faces! As I said before, it’s not ideal. You just never know if an awake baby will have the arm control or the ability to make eye contact with the lens. If they will be content or crying! There’s no doubt about it, parents love awake shots. And honestly, so do I!
